Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by ophysics simulation on science process skills and physics learning outcomes of high school students. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental with a posttest only control group design. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling, involving 66 students of grade XI of Jenggawah Senior High School who were divided into two experimental and control groups. Data collection used observation techniques of science process skills, science process skills tests and learning outcome tests. The results of the observation analysis obtained an average of science process skills possessed by students during three meetings included in the good category, while in the control class included in the sufficient category. Based on the results of the study, the posttest results of science process skills in the experimental class were 86.5 while in the control class it was 63.5. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest learning outcomes obtained an average of 81.3 in the experimental class and 38.4 in the control class. The results of the Mann Whitney U test on students' science process skills and physics learning outcomes were 0.000, indicating that there was a significant influence on students' science process skills and physics learning outcomes due to the discovery learning model assisted by ophysics simulation.
