Abstract
This study was motivated by the limited utilization of learning media in elementary science education, where instructional activities remain heavily dominated by conventional lecture methods and prescribed textbooks. Consequently, students encounter difficulties grasping abstract concepts, particularly the topic “Seeing Because of Light.” Therefore, this study aimed to develop an interactive learning media platform using Google Sites integrated with Educaplay for fifth-grade students and evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectivenessEmploying a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model, the study was conducted at SDN 1 Tegalsari, Banyuwangi. The subjects comprised 20 fifth-grade students at SDN 7 Genteng for the limited trial and 23 students at SDN 1 Tegalsari for the primary implementation. Data were collected via validation sheets, student questionnaires, and cognitive pretests and posttests. The findings indicated that the developed media achieved a validity score of 0,88 (valid). Practicality evaluations reached 84.28% in the limited trial and 88.12% during implementation, qualifying as highly practical. Furthermore, the media's effectiveness was demonstrated by a significant increase in learning mastery, with 95.7% of students achieving scores within the effective and highly effective thresholds, successfully surpassing the 80% effectiveness criterion. Additionally, data analysis yielded a moderate N-Gain score of 0.68. In conclusion, the interactive learning media based on Google Sites assisted by Educaplay is empirically proven to be valid, practical, and highly effective in enhancing the cognitive learning outcomes of elementary school students.
