Abstract
The integration of technology in education has become essential in response to the digital transformation of 21st-century education. However, the utilization of technology in classroom instruction in Indonesia remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to develop an interactive e-book on Indonesian traditional foods integrated with science learning to enhance elementary students’ creative thinking skills and learning outcomes. This study employed the 4D development model, which consists of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research subjects were 21 fifth-grade students of SDN Sidorejo 01. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The validity data were
analyzed using Aiken’s V formula. The validation results indicated high validity scores based on evaluations by two experts, with scores of 0.9 for the media aspect, 0.766 for the material aspect, and 0.766 for the language aspect. The interactive ebook demonstrated a very high level of practicality, as indicated by students’ response questionnaires with a score of 93.3%. Furthermore, the effectiveness results showed that the e-book was effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills and learning outcomes, with an average N-Gain score of 0.66 for creative thinking skills and 0.70 for learning outcomes. In conclusion, the developed interactive e-book on Indonesian traditional foods is valid, practical, and effective for use in elementary science learning (IPAS).
