Abstract
One of the key psychological components of stroke rehabilitation is motivation, which is greatly impacted by spiritual health, which promotes inner peace, acceptance, and hope. However, maintaining motivation is a significant challenge for post-stroke patients due to the physical limitations they experience and the potentially long-term rehabilitation period. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between spiritual well-being and recovery motivation in post-ischemic stroke patients at RSD Dr. Soebandi Jember's Neurology Clinic. A cross-sectional design was employed in this quantitative correlational analysis. 84 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS) and the Client Motivation for Therapy Scale (CMOTS) were used to gather data, and the Spearman's rho test was used for analysis. With a median score of 89.00 for spiritual well-being and 73.00 for recovery motivation, the results showed high levels for both variables. A substantial positive association (p = 0.001, r = 0.549) was discovered, suggesting that a patient's motivation to heal is increased when their spiritual well-being is higher. To sum up, spiritual health serves as an adaptive coping mechanism that encourages involvement in the healing process. In order to enhance patient motivation and recovery, nursing interventions should take a holistic approach by offering spiritual support.
