Abstract
Based on the background of research above, the research problems were
formulated as follows:
1. Can the use of mind mapping as the technique for pre-writing activity improve
the eighth grade students’ participation in writing skill of recount text during
teaching learning process at MTs Al-Ihsan Tembelang Jombang?
2. Can the use of mind mapping as the technique for pre-writing activity improve
the eighth grade students’ writing skill of recount text achievement at MTs Al-
Ihsan Tembelang Jombang?
