    Abstract
    Besarnya areal kebun kelapa Indonesia tidak diimbangi dengan jumlah produksi hasil kelapa yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Kebutuhan aliran bahan yang baik pada setiap proses kerja mutlak dibutuhkan sebagai pendorong berjalannya proses kerja yang baik. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi aktivitas aliran bahan dan rentang waktu yang dibutuhkan serta menganalisis nilai konstanta transportation cost dengan software POM QM for Windows untuk mendapatkan nilai konstanta transportation cost efisien dari nilai konstanta awal sebagai dasar analisis perancangan model tata letak fasilitas layout alternatif. Metode pengumpulan data berdasarkan software POM-QM for Windows, diskusi dengan key person, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Data yang dibutuhkan adalah jarak dan laju aliran bahan antar unit, sedangkan data yang dibutuhkan untuk peta proses aliran bahan adalah waktu tempuh antar unit serta jumlah kegiatan pada proses pengolahan cocofiber. Setelah didapatkan kebutuhan data, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan software POM-QM for Windows. Hasil yang didapatkan berupa nilai konstanta transportation cost sebesar 21033,01 dan tidak jauh berbeda dengan nilai konstanta transportation cost awal sebesar 21072,65. Dari hasil analisis software tetap tidak memecahkan masalah yang terjadi di CV. Tiga Sehati, maka dibutuhkan penambahan alat pengangkut bahan produksi tambahan sebagai alat yang mampu mereduksi masalah material handling yang terjadi di CV. Tiga Sehati serta sebagai pendukung tercapainya nilai konstanta transportation cost. Berdasarkan klasifikasi peralatan material handling, alat pengangkut tambahan yang direncanakan berupa belt conveyor dan direncanakan meggunakan desain bahan dasar plat besi yang memiliki nilai ekonomis selama 10 tahun. Dari hasil analisis, belt conveyor ini memiliki kebutuhan biaya awal sebesar Rp. 341.865.000. Jika dibandingkan dengan proses pengangkutan manual sebesar Rp. 735.000.000 dengan pengkonversian nilai ekonomis bahan dasar plat besi selama 10 tahun pula, maka nilai ongkos material handling dapat ditekan seminimal mungkin jika ditambahkan conveyor. The purpose of this study was conducted to evaluate the activity of the material flow and the required time frame and analyze the value of the transportation cost constant by POM QM for Windows software to obtain a constant value of transportation cost efficient than the initial constant value as the basis for design analysis model of the layout of the alternatives facility layout. Data collection methods based on software POM-QM for Windows, discussions with key persons, documentation and literature. The data required is the distance and rate of flow of material between the units, while the data needed to map the flow of materials is the travel time between the units and the number of activities in the processing cocofiber. Having obtained the data needs, and then analyzed using the software POMQM for Windows. The results obtained in the form of a constant value of 21033.01 and the transportation cost is not much different from the initial value of the constant transportation cost of 21072.65. From the analysis of software still does not solve the problems occurring in the CV. Tiga Sehati, the conveyance of materials required the addition of extra production as a tool that is able to reduce material handling problems that occur in the CV. Tiga Sehati as well as supporting the achievement of a constant value of transportation cost. Based on the classification of material handling equipment, additional conveyance belt conveyor in the form of planned receipts and planned the design of the basic ingredients of steel plate that has economic value for 10 years. From the analysis, this conveyor belt has a need for the initial cost of 341.865 million rupiahs. When compared to the manual transport of 735 million rupiahs with the conversion of the economic value of the basic ingredients of the iron plate for 10 years anyway, then the value of material handling costs can be kept to a minimum if the conveyor is added.
