HUBUNGAN ANTARA SIKAP TENAGA KERJA, KONDISI LINGKUNGAN KERJA DAN PENERAPAN PROGRAM HOUSEKEEPING DENGAN KEJADIAN KECELAKAAN KERJA DI DIPO LOKOMOTIF (Studi di PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daerah Operasi IX Jember)
Abstract
Attitude is a readiness/willingness to act and not the implementation of
particular motives. Attitude has three important components such as trust/confidence,
ideas and concepts of an object; emotional life/evaluation of an object, and a
tendency to act. The work environment is a narrative description of the place of work
of employees/ physical workers. Factors of work environment consist of five factors
including physical factors (light, humidity, temperature, noise, vibration), chemical
factors (smoke, fumes, gases, liquids and solids), biological factors
(microorganisms), physiological factors (construction of machinery on the body
workers and attitude/ work procedures), and psychological-mental factors (work
condition, relationship, communication, work methods).
Housekeeping is an activity at the workplace including selecting, structuring,
cleaning, maintaining, and customaring that all of these was acquired to doing good
work. Work environment is not only affecting to optimalization employee
productivity, but also to employee safety and health. The type of this research was
analytical research by cross sectional approach. The sample of this research were 33
then analyzed by Spearman Correlations with α = 0,05. The result of research was
shown the significant correlation between the attitude of employee with occupational
accident occurrence (α = 0,008); Work Environment With Job Accident Occurrence
(
α = 0,000); it is suggested that Housekeeping application With Job Accident
Occurrence (
α = 0,001). Cleaning activity must be improved and conducted weekly
so the environment condition on work area become more effective. Other than, the
employees have to use Personal Protection Equipments while doing their job to
decrease occupational accident.
