dc.description.abstract | Hypertension is a chronic increase of blood pressure that occurs because the
heart works hard to pump blood to meet body's oxygen and nutritional needs.
Hypertension managements help patients to control blood pressure and prevent
its complications. One of factors that influence hypertension managements is self-
efficacy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and
hypertension managements in hypertensive patients at Jenggawah Health Center
in Jember Districk . This research used descriptive analytical method with cross
sectional approach. There were 144 people of hipertensive patients were selected
with quota sampling. Data collection by using two questionnaires, self-efficacy
with value of reability index α: 0,780 and hypertension managements with value
of reability index α: 0,90. The data analysis used a spearman rank with 95% CI.
The result found that there was a significant and strong relationship between self-
efficacy and hypertension managements (p : 0.001, α: 0,05, r: 0.884). It is mean,
the higher of self-efficacy ,the higher of patients hypertension managements
because self-efficacy as one of key factors to motivate patients so they can
perform prevention activities to reduce the complications of hypertension. | en_US |
