PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS TENTANG PERAWATAN KAKI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SUMBERSARI KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is one of Indonesian chronic diseases. It has so many complication, one of them is diabetic foot. Because of some harmfull effects caused by diabetic foot, it is important to take some prevention effort to avoid that diseases to be getting worse. Giving health education could be one of that prevention program. Health education about diabetic foot care is needed to be given to increase patient knowledge about the importance of foot care to prevent diabetic foot. It could be the most important thing to construct patient behavior, especially on diabetic foot care. Type of this study is pre experiment research with one group pretest and post test design approach. Wilcoxon Matched Pairs test is used in this research. P-value obtained was 0,0005 (0.0005 <0.05), so Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be conclused that there is an effect of health education about Diabetes Mellitus foot care on patient knowledge at the Working Area of Sumbersari Health Care Jember.
