dc.description.abstractChildren aged 3-5 years cann’t yet say what they want, feel, or need, a frustrating experience may cause a temper tantrum. Family affective function can meet the emotional development in children. This research was aimed to examine the correlation of family affective function with temper tantrum behavior in chlidren aged 3-5 years in Subdistrict of Patrang, Jember Regency. This research uses a cross-sectional study to 134 parents who have children aged 3-5 years and acquired by cluster sampling method. Data were obtained by using family affective function questionnaire and temper tantrum questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test independent sample. The results showed that have correlation between family affective function with temper tantrum behavior of chlidren aged 3-5 years (69.8 ± 10.6; p-value < 0.001). This study indicate that the roles of family nursing needed to improve the knowledge of parents about family affective function for reduce risk of temper tantrum in children.en_US
