PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TENTANG PIJAT BAYI USIA 1-12 BULAN DENGAN RIWAYAT BBLR TERHADAP PERILAKU IBU MEMIJAT BAYI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS JANGKAR KABUPATEN SITUBONDO

Abstract

Baby massage is the oldest therapy for the treatment and therapy for baby through a touch has been known for generations. Health education of baby massage is needed for mothers with babies aged 1-12 months with a history of LBW so the mother’s have good behavior of baby massage. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of health education on baby massage for babies aged 1-12 months with of low birth weight to baby massage mother's behavior in the region of Jangkar Health Centers Situbondo. It was pre experimantal design with pretest and posttest group in January 9 to February 6, 2012. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to data analisys. Sample of this study was thirty nine mothers with total sampling. The result of p value (0,000) was less than α (0,05). The conclusion is that there is the effect of health education on baby massage for babies aged 1-12 months with a history of low birth weight on baby massage mother's behavior. Baby massage is highly recommended for babies aged 1-12 months with a history of LBW.
