    Abstract
    Kontrasepsi suntik Depo-Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) merupakan salah satu kontrasepsi yang banyak digunakan. Kontrasepsi ini memiliki efektivitas yang baik, akan tetapi dalam penggunaannya memiliki beberapa efek samping seperti gangguan pola haid dan dalam penggunaan jangka panjang dapat menyebabkan kecenderungan depresi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh usia, pendidikan dan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi suntik DMPA terhadap kecenderungan depresi pada akseptor KB. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Puskesmas Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik obversional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel sejumlah 30 akseptor yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yang telah menggunakan KB suntik DMPA minimal delapan kali (> 2 tahun). Depo-Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) injectable contraceptive is widely used method of contraceptive. Contraceptive has good efficacy but it has some impacts such as disruption of menstrual patterns and the long term use can cause depression tendency. This study aimed to determine the age, education and the long term use of injectable contraceptive DMPA toward the depression tendency in family planning acceptors. This research was done at Health Center Sumbersari Jember. This type of research is an analytic observational with cross sectional approach. Samples were 30 acceptors who had completed the inclusion criteria who have used DMPA injective at least eight times (> 2 years). Data analysis using bivariate analyzing Rank Spearman test. The results showed that there were significant correlation between age, education and the long term use of the depression tendency with coefficient corelation of p = 0.541, p = -474, p = 0.587. It can be concluded that there were significance effect between age, education and the long term use of the injectable contraceptive DMPA toward the depression tendency in family planning acceptors at Sumbersari Health Care Center Jember. Keywords : age, education, DMPA injectable contraceptive, depression tendency Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi antara usia, pendidikan dan lama penggunaan terhadap kecenderungan depresi sebesar p = 0.541, p = -474, p = 0.587. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara usia, pendidikan dan lama penggunaan kontrasepsi suntik DMPA terhadap kecenderungan depresi pada akseptor KB di Puskesmas Sumbersari Jember
