dc.description.abstract | The development of preschool children can be influenced by cooperative play.
Cooperative play can help the development of child so the child can achieved
their optimal development. The purpose of this study was to identify the
correlation between cooperative play with the development of preschoolers in
Pembina Garden School, Maesan district, Bondowoso regency. This research was
non-experimental quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The
sample in this study was 84 children. The sampling technique used probability
sampling with proportionate stratified random sampling method. Results of the
research cooperative play obtained 66,7% of children cooperative and 33,3% of
children uncooperative. The results of child development research found 91,7% of
children with developmental reached and 8.3% of children with developmental
not achived. Data was analyzed using chi square test with α=5% and obtained p
value =0.005, so the results obtained p value <α (0.005 <0.05) with the
conclusion there was a correlation between cooperative play with preschooler’s
development in Pembina Garden School. OR = 15, which means that children
with cooperative likely 15 times to have achieved development. Appropriate game
for preschoolers that is cooperative play where cooperative play has benefits for
improving child development. The conclusion from this study is cooperative play
can shape a child's development because of cooperative play has characteristics
that help to shape individual aspects of child development. The Suggestions from
