DAMPAK INSENTIF DALAM KINERJA KARYAWAN BAGIAN
Abstract
The study results showed that the incentives given to employees of marketing department of Bread
Company MBO Jember were fairly good. The company gave material and non-material incentives;
the material incentive given was equal to one percent of the sales earned by employees of the
marketing department. Meanwhile, the non-material incentives were given in the form of verbal
praise and gratitude directly by the company manager. The company provided an incentive with a
specific purpose, one of which is to improve employee performance of marketing department. The
performance of employees at marketing department of Bread Company MBO Jember was also
fairlygood; they worked in accordance with the company's expectations and always hit the target of
30 stores every day. However, there are still problems related to the employees’ lateness in break
time to go home; they often returned late to work or return to the company. The problem was due to
lack of socialization and training on performance of employees at marketing department and the low
level of employees’ education. The solution is that the company through the management of or
managers should give direction or socialization on employee performance at marketing department.
In addition, the company manager must tighten the process of recruitment of employees in order to
gain employees with level of education in accordance with the company needs
