Indeks Kepuasan Mahasiswa terhadap Pelayanan UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Jember
Abstract
Library serves as a means of education. The conduct of education and teaching can occur by the
support of library. Therefore, the government provides library facility that serves as a source of
information to support educational institution in an effort of improving the community intelligence.
This research aimed to determine user satisfaction in library unit services of the University of Jember,
especially in the services of circulation, return, and extension of books. The public service qualitybased
research would measure student satisfaction index. The research used quantitative approach and
descriptive research design. Involving samples by quota and incidental sampling, it was found that:
The library unit services of the University of Jember was in category B (good). In details, the the best
component was the security service and lowest service quality was the clarity of service personnel.
Thus, socialization or improvement of the existing SOP is important to conduct in order that students'
understanding of the mechanism of library facility utilization becomes better and better
