Abstract
THEY WERE THE BEGINNING, MIDDLE AND END. THE TYPE OF PLOT USED IN THIS NOVEL IS OPEN PLOT, IT MEANS THAT THE READER IS LEFT TO DECIDE WHAT HE/SHE THINKS THE OUTCOME OF THE STORY WILL BE. THE RESEARCH RESULTS CAN BE USED AS INPUT TO INCREASE THE ENGLISH STUDENTS' KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HOW TO ANALYZE A LITERARY WORK MAINLY, A NOVEL DEALING WITH PLOT.
