dc.description.abstract | Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease which has increasingly number of incidence and one person died every four minutes because of it. One alternative to cut this infection chains is Direct Observed Treatment Shortcourse (DOTS) method. This method had been proven to be effective, but it has a problem which is lack of data of pulmonary tuberculosis disease. This research had been done retrospectively in Jember Lung Hospital. Based on the results, can be concluded that pulmonary tuberculosis patients with positive acid fast staining exams in Jember Lung Hospital is 309 patients, mostly came from Jember county (84,8%) and most of them stayed in highly populated areas like Patrang distric (14,1%). The most pulmonary TB patients was male (57,9%), aged between 25-34 years old (24,3%), elementary school in education (49,8%), and worked as farmers (37,3%). Patients with drop out treatment were 61,3%, mostly came from outside Jember county (71,3%), male in gender (60,84%), aged between 24-34 years old (21,68%), and elementary school in education (48,95%). | en_US |
