dc.description.abstractDevelopment of children under-five years is an important period in the stage of children’s development, due to the failure or success of children under five years development affect and determine the children’s development at the next stage. The aim of this research was to analyze the correlation between family affective function with development of children under-five years. This research used crosssectional approach. The research sample consisted of 45 chilldren and collected by systematic random sampling. Data were analyzed with chi square test. Family affective function defined into good and bad categories. Results showed that most families have good family affective function as 25 respondents (55,6%). Families with good family affective function have children under-five years with normal development as 23 children (92%) and suspect development as 2 children (8%). Statistical test showed p value 0.002 (<α 0,05) means that family affective function have correlation with development of children under-five years at Panduman Village, District of Jelbuk, Jember Regency. For nurses suggest to perform regular developmental screening of children under five years and help family to perform good family affective function independently.en_US
