dc.description.abstract | Antenatal care is a health service by proffesional health staff for pregnant women,
aim to cope with obstetrics complication which are the cause of maternal mortality.
Indicator of success for prenatal care is K4 coverage. Jember had coverage of K4
with percentage 70,67% which was the district with the lowest coverage. In 2012,
Wuluhan Health Center had the highest coverage of K4 with percentage 107,13%
and Arjasa Health Center had the lowest with percentage 50,49% in Jember. The
objective of this research was to analyzed the differences factor of antenatal care
utilization between Wuluhan and Arjasa Health Center, which cover predisposing,
enabling and need factors. This research was analytical study using cross sectional
design. Samples were pregnant women who are checkup pregnancies in working area
Wuluhan and Arjasa Health Center in 2013, that is 73 mothers in Wuluhan and 65
mothers in Arjasa. Data was analyzed using Chi-Square (α=0.05). Results showed
that there were the difference of antenatal care utilization in Wuluhan and Arjasa
Health Center. Beside that there were difference of antenatal care utilization based
on knowledge and accesibility based on distance to health service between Wuluhan
and Arjasa Health Care. However, there was not difference of age, education,
attitudes, availability of health care, worker’s service, transportation, mother health
condition and case history. It was suggested to formed class of pregnant women, to
enlarge methods and quality of counseling about antenatal care, and make a
proposal to Local Goverment to repair and maintenence of road infrastructure in
