dc.description.abstract | MDR-TB is a threat to public health. MDR-TB is TB that resistant M.TB minimum of
INH (Isoniazid Niazid Hydrazide) and rifampicin with or without other OAT. The
number of cases MDR-TB is always increasing every year. Until January 2014 there
were 11 patients who have diagnosed as MDR-TB patients in Jember Regency, with
two of them had died. This research used descriptive quantitative research methods.
The aim of the research is to describe the history of obedient of patient treatment
MDR-TB in Jember Regency by 2014. Study population was all MDR-TB’s patients
in Jember on 2014 that are 15 people. Method of data collection with documentation
and interviews used questionnaires. The results were presented in the form of tables
and text. The questionnaire used in this study consists of two parts, namely the
characteristics of the respondents and history of obedient of patients MDR-TB by
knowledge, family support, PMO support, side effect, and access to health services.
The results showed that the majority of respondents, income < Rp. 1.270.000, not
working, and yet treated. Based on the history of obedient of the respondents, the
most of respondents are obedient in the treatment of TB, but little part of them refuse
MDR-TB treatment, had low level of knowledge, had complaint of side effect of the
treatment, and had no problem to access health services. Therefore, motivation and
health promotion of danger MDR-TB must be inhanced to prevent the spreading
MDR-TB. | en_US |
