Pengaruh Komunikasi Organisasi Formal dan Komunikasi Organisasi Informal Terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Karyawan Tetap Bagian Teknik dan Pengolahan Pada PT.Perkebunan Nusantara X (Persero) Gudang Ajong-Gayasan Jember
Abstract
This research was intended to determine the simultaneous effect of formal communication and informal communication in
organization on job satisfaction of permanent employees of technique and processing department at PT. Perkebunan
Nusantara X (Persero) Ajong-Gayasan Warehouse Jember. This research was quantitative. There were two research
variables, that is, independent variable (organizational communication) and dependent variable (job satisfaction).
Organizational communication variable consisted of several sub-variables such as formal organizational communication
and informal organizational communication. The number of samples in this research was determined using the formula of
Slovin and obtained samples in total of 79.29 rounded to 79 labors of the total population of 383 labors. The research
results showed that the two independent variables provided a significant effect on Productivity (Y) simultaneously by 80.3%
and partially by 45.09%,. Meanwhile, the effect of formal organizational communication on job satisfaction was 35.20%. It
can be concluded that the material prosperity gives more dominant effect on labor productivity by 45.09 %.
