Abstract
Colonial education politics was policy and practice of the Dutch in
education sector. The policy was characterized by gradualism, dualism, strong
centralistic control limited goals of indigenous education, no systematic education
planning. The colonial education politics inhibited the development of education in
Netherlands India but was able to bring socio-economis changes
