| dc.description.abstract | Background: Forum astral conjunction Council of Ulama Indonesia (MUI) as Indonesia III in Padangpanjang, West Sumatra, January 24, 2012, decided smoking haram, though not for all. Astral conjunction it is not defined as the MUI fatwa but has been discussed controversial Indonesian people are mostly Muslim and smoking behavior.
Objective: to understand people sat smoking lawsuits in terms of Islam.
Methods: This descriptive analytic method with logical thinking about the differences in the laws of clean and unclean for smoking behavior.
Results: Some scholars define the legal smoking is makruh. However, the smoke could be haram (forbidden) because there are certain reasons as someone who is prohibited by doctors as indicated by certain diseases. As for those who forbid cigarettes and smoking, leaning against a number of reasons according to the rules of usul fiqh. Alhukmu yanuuru Ma'a 'iltihi wahudan wa'daman (laws provide enlightenment for all). The things that make smoking it becomes haram, there are three reasons. (1) the negative effects of cigarette health elements. If smokers had a suspicion, that smoking negatively affects their health, smoking becomes unlawful. In this regard Allah says: "Walaa tulquu biadiikum ilattahlukah (meaning: And do entry yourself in damages). (2) Tabdir (wasted treasure). Namely, all the expenses of property not benefit temporal and hereafter, are classified tabdir action. Expenditures treasure belonging to tabdir include things like buying illicit liquor, or makruh things like buying cigarettes. (3) Cigarettes are a foul odor and disturbing surroundings. For the third course, meant that passive smokers also suffer the consequences of smoking behavior both in terms of health or comfort.
Suggestion: As Muslims the Prophet Muhammad as an example of life, we should not be confused, but we must be firm and not permissive rules exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, especially the smoking behavior are proven to kill the soul slowly. | en_US |
