PENGARUH THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE WALKING TERHADAP TEKANAN DARAH KLIEN HIPERTENSI DI DESA SUBO KECAMATAN PAKUSARI KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
Hypertension is one of the non communicable diseases become a major
cause of death in the hospital. Hypertension need an appropriate treatment, like
pharmacological and non pharmacological. One of the non-pharmacological
treatment is Therapeutic Exercise Walking. The purpose of this study was to
identify the influence of Therapeutic Exercise Walking on blood pressure in
hypertensive clients. This research used pre experimental design with one group
pretest posttest design in 19 respondents which obtained purposive sampling. The
instruments of data collection was done with a sphygmomanometer, stethoscope
and observation sheet. The average of systolic blood pressure before therapy is
150 mmHg, with a standard deviation of 3.729, 130 mmHg for minimum value
and 170 mmHg for maximum value. The average of systolic blood pressure after
therapy 145 mmHg, with a standard deviation of 2.649, 130 mmHg for minimum
value and 160 mmHg for maximum value. While the average of diastolic blood
pressure before therapy is 95 mmHg, with a standard deviation of 2.408, 80
mmHg for minimum value and 110 mmHg for maximum value. The average of
diastolic blood pressure after therapy is 91 mmHg, with a standard deviation of
2.203, 70 mmHg for minimum value and 110 mmHg for maximum value. Based on
paired t-test results, there is a significant effect on systolic and diastolic blood
pressure in hypertensive client before and after therapy with p value=0.000
(systolic) and p value=0.000 (diastolic) where p<α (α=0,05). This suggests that
Therapeutic Exercise Walking can lower blood pressure in hypertensive client.
So, can be used to non pharmacological management for treating of hypertension.
