dc.description.abstractThe availability of transportation and modern communication led to the population mobility revolution. Both vertical mobility caused by the change of person’s employment status and horizontal mobility caused by the person immigration crossed on particular place and time. This condition also might affects the sexual behavior of the people which lead to the risk of HIV/AIDS transmission in Jember district.This study aims to analyze the implication of population mobility and sexual behavior to the HIV/AIDS transmission in Jember district with mix method, not only quantitative but also qualitative, using the secondary data resources with examine the documents and also by interviewing the NGOs worker who concern on HIV/AIDS’s countermeasures in Jember district. The dependent variables are such as population mobility and sexual behavior. Despite of the independent variable is the HIV/AIDS cases.The result of this study showed that today there are so many people who doing the vertical mobility by prefer being the factory workers to farmers. With the income levels which not rely on the harvest cause the salary will be earned on a weekly with an amount greater than before. This may allow the male population doing the sex before marriage or out of wedlock with the female sex workers. In other hand, the female population who doing the mobilized to the city, they are faced with the condition of survival rate cause they do not have adequate skill and knowledge. This is exacerbated since the closure of the Puger localization in 2007. Today, in Jember district has been identified the illegal localization with amount 15 points and the victims of HIV/AIDS increase annually.en_US
