    USING SUGGESTOPEDIA TO IMPROVE THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS’ LEARNING ATMOSPHERE AND THEIR WRITING ACHIEVEMENT AT SMKN 5 JEMBER IN 2013/2014 ACADEMIC YEAR

    Abstract
    The actions were implemented in two cycles in order to achieve the criteria of success of this research that was 75. The first cycle was done in three meetings including the test. Based on the result of observation, it showed that there was 68.5% students’ were in good learning atmosphere. It had not achieved the criteria of success that was 80% of students. In addition, the result of students’ writing test showed that there were 57.1% or 20 students achived the score of 75. It had not achieved the criteria of success that was 80% of students achieved score 75 or more. Based on the result of Cycle 1, Cycle 2 was conducted with some revision to solve the problems found in Cycle 1. The result of observation and writing test in Cycle 2 showed an improvement. In the observation, there was improvement of students’ good learning atmosphere from 68.5% in Cycle 1 to 84.5% in Cycle 2. The result of writing test showed that was improvement from 57.1% in Cycle 1 to 82.8% in Cycle 2 of the students achieved the score 75 or more. Considering the result, it can be concluded that the actions in Cycle 2 had achieved the criteria of success on the research. The result of Cycle 1 to the Cycle 2 showed an improvement as well as achieved the criteria of success. Finally, it can be summarized that using Suggestopedia was able to improve the tenth grade students learning atmosphere and writing achievement at SMKN 5 Jember in 2013/2014 academic year.
