dc.description.abstract | Self-actualization is an awareness to self-develop to the maximal extend in
accordance to talent, desire and ideas. The better people can actualize themselves
the better their creativity and productivity, and also their socializing skills. The
process to understand themselves started during puberty through an identity
status formation.This study aim to analyze the correlation of identity status on
adolescence with self-actualization. This was a descriptive analytic design with
cross sectional approach. The total sample consists of 48 respondents picked out
of 95 santris by using simple random sampling. The results showed 36.2%
students’ self identity in Nurul Qarnain were categorized foreclosure and 19%
categorized as achievement. Self actualization result showed 50% students had
low self actualization. Data were analyzed by chi-square with odds ratio. Data
analyzing obtained p value of 0.01 and Odd Ratio (OR) of 2,726, with confidence
level of 95%. It can be concluded that there was a significant correlation between
identity status in adolescence with self-actualization. Respondent with identity
status achievement have 2.729 time opportunity to have better self-actualization
than other identity status. Hereby, recommended to adolescence to built positive
image to themselves, actively seek informations and train their social skill by
involveing themselves in organization activities. | en_US |
