Abstract
This research is a class action research that aims to increase the independence and student learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) at the class X-7 of state senior high school of Jatiroto basic competency to describe the concept of supply and demand money of even semester 2012/2013 year. Subjects that is examined are class X-7 which totaled 34 students and teachers of Economics subjects. Data collection methods is used include methods of observation, tests, interviews, and documents. Data analysis method that is used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach which seeks to explain the data obtained from the implementation of the action on the field. Data that is collected in the form of (1) the observation result of students' learning independent and activities of teacher during the implementation of learning, (2) the results of the interview. This research is conducted through two cycles, each of cycle there are 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results show that independent of student learning at class X-7 state of senior high school in Jatiroto increased from score of an average of 2:58 (medium category) to 3:18 (medium category), and student learning result of achievement of classical completeness amount of 70.59% to 100%.
