dc.description.abstractStunting is a state of the body is short and very short so that exceed the deficit-2SD below the median length or height. In the state of stunting, the child’s height does not meet the normal height according to age. Short children is closely related to the conditions that occur in a long time such as poverty, clean and healthy living behaviors are lacking, poor environmental health, poor parenting and low levels of education. Therefore, the problem is a reflection of the short toddler socio-economic situation of society. This study aimed to analyze the association between family socioeconomic characteristics with stunting among children the age of 25-59 months in the working area of health centers of community Kalisat Jember. This research was observational analytical study conducted by cross sectional. Study sample as many as 92 toddlers. The sampling method used was accidental sampling and using chisquare analysis. The results showed an association between family socio-economic characteristics with stunting among children the age of 25-59 months in the working area of health centers of community Kalisat Jember. Therefore, recommended for parents to give them a high dietary zinc and protein.en_US
