HUBUNGAN RIWAYAT USIA PERNIKAHAN DENGAN SIKAP IBU DALAM PERAWATAN BAYI BARU LAHIR DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SILO KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Readiness in developing a family can be affected by the age of marriage. Early marriage is one culture that still can not be resolved and be culture in almost regions in Indonesia. A baby born by an adolescent woman has nine times higher risks than a baby born by an older woman because of the effect of tortures and accidents. The purpose of this research was to identify “The Correlation Between History of Marriage Age to Mother’s Attitude in Newborn Care in Work Area Public Health Center of Silo Jember Regency”. This research used analytical observation design with Cohort Retrospective approach. Data collection technique was questionnaire and checklist paper. The samples were 70 primiparous postpartum women who had newborns aged 0-28 days. Data analysis used chi square test. The results showed that the p value 0,041(p value<0,05) and risk relative (RR) of 4,086, it means Ha accepted. This conclusion there was a correlation between History of Marriage Age to Mother’s Attituded in Newborn Care in Work Area Public Health Center of Silo Jember Regency. This suggest that need an increase in the marriage age for women to physiologis and psychological readines.
