HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DENGAN PERILAKU KESIAPSIAGAAN DALAM MENGHADAPI BENCANA BANJIR DAN LONGSOR PADA REMAJA USIA 15-18 TAHUN DI SMA AL-HASAN KEMIRI KECAMATAN PANTI KABUPATEN JEMBER

Abstract

Floods and landslides are the most common disaster in the world. There are many ways to reduce the risk of disaster damage. Preparedness behavior is one of ways reducing the risk of disaster damage. Knowledge is one of the factors that influence the behavior of preparedness. This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and preparedness behavior in adolescents aged 15-18 years in SMA Al-Hasan Kemiri, Jember. This research used a descriptive study design was cross sectional analytic approach. Population in this research were 183 SMA Al-Hasan Student with 125 student as sample. Sampling techniques used was simple random sampling. The analysisis data used Pearson product moment correlation test with 95% CI. The results showed that there is a relationship of knowledge to behavior preparedness in facing of floods and landslides in adolescents aged 15-18 years in SMA Al-Hasan kemiri, subdistrict Panti of Jember Regency (P value = 0.000, α = 0.05,). This correlation has positive directions (r = 0.531). It means that the higher knowledge, the preparedness behavior will increase. Hopefully the nurses can increase the knowledge of society through the promotion of health such as health education and disaster simulation.
