dc.description.abstract | A preliminary study conducted Sulistyono (2006) and Sulistyono, et al. (2006) where based
TTCD effectiveness analysis has a significant influence on the end of lost time. Whereas for
start of lost time, the use of TTCD not give significant effect on traffic flow. The research
objective was conducted with the aim of knowing the characteristics of saturated flow, lost
time and end additional time and influence of TTCD of some intersections in East Java.
Primary data collection was done at 18 locations in the intersection of East Java by
conducting field measurement and recording of traffic flows using a DVR (digital video
recording). Analysis of saturation flow and lost time is done using the approach of Webster's
theory. The result of the departure of the saturation flow analysis, showing the movement of
vehicles tend to perform early before the green time (± 3 seconds) with a peak saturation
current departure occurs at the second interval (9-15 seconds) or the third (15-21 seconds) .
The average value obtained for the lost time
)( 3,14 seconds and end extra time (A') = 1.45
seconds lower than the theoretical reduction (MKJI). Additions TTCD at traffic lights can
give a positive value in improving the performance of the intersection that is increasing the
amount of traffic flow during the period of green (green + yellow) is shown decreasing lost
time early and late addition to increasing time. | en_US |
