PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA DENGAN MODEL GUIDED DISCOVERY (GD) DAN PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION (PBI) DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR ABSTRAK DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI SISWA
Abstract
The purpose of the research were to know the effect of GD model and PBI
toward the student learning result, interaction between model with the thinking abstract
ability and motivation achievement toward student learning result. The research was taken
in Muhammadiyah 4 Senior High School Surabaya used experimental method and was
done in June – December 2011. The research sample was taken using cluster random
sampling, Class X

was GD model and class X
for PBI. The data for student result and
abstract thinking ability was collected using test and questioner for achievement
motivation. The hypothesis were tested using ANOVA three ways technique with unequal
cell. The result of data analysis were: 1) there was effect of GD model and PBI toward the
learning rsult. 2) there was effect of abstract thinking ability toward learning result. 3)
there was effect of achievement motivation toward learning rsult. 4) there was interaction
between GD model and the PBI with the ability to abstract thinking ability student toward
learning result. 5) there was no interaction between GD model and PBI with achievement
motivation toward learning result. 6) there was no interaction between abstract thinking
ability with achievement motivation toward learning result. 7) there was no interaction
between GD model and PBI with achievement motivation and the abstract thinking ability
toward learning result.
