HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN PENCAPAIAN TUGAS PERKEMBANGAN ANAK RETARDASI MENTAL BERAT DI SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA YPAC KALIWATES - JEMBER
Abstract
Mental retardation is a disorder characterized by intellectual functioning
that is significantly below the average began before the age of 18 years
accompanied by a decrease of adaptive function. Delays in handling that result in
people with mental retardation become difficult to handle. So far to achieve the
task of handling the development of mental retardation is emphasized to the
institution or school. Family support is important for the stages of child
development retardation mentals to enhance adaptive functioning of individuals,
making it an independent reaching task of develepoment, good social skills and
improve health. Purpose of this study is to separately examine the correlation
between family support with achievement of developmental tasks heavy mental
retardation child at special needs education YPAC Kaliwates-Jember. Type of
research is Analytical Descriptive with Cross Sectional approach. Sampling
method used is saturated sampling amount 30 student. Research implemented at
special needs education YPAC Kaliwates-Jember. Analisis was used Rank
Spearman correlation. On the results obtained value p is 0,0005. Based on test
results looking at the value significancy p<α (0,0005<0,05) found at there is H
rejected they was significant correlation between family support with achievement
of developmental tasks heavy mental retardation child at special needs education
YPAC Kaliwates-Jember. Spearman correlation (r) r=0,722, found at there
positive correlation with the strength of strong correlation. Conclusion that
higher family support, the more accomplished the task of of developmental tasks
heavy mental retardation child.
