dc.description.abstractStroke is a degenerative disease leading cause mortality of all age groups in Indonesia in 2007. Various health problems caused by stroke are the most of residual symtomps of disability. There must be ability of a family to provide stroke at home to reduce the disability caused by stroke. The purpose of this research is to identify the correlation between the capability level of family therapeutic regimen management and the independence of self care. The design of this research is an analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The population are the whole family with family members post stroke that was registered in Work Area of Ambulu Community Health Center in Jember Regency at 2010 are 71 peoples. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling. Based on the Spearman Rank test with an alpha 5% was obtained p values 0,005 which means Ho is refused. The conclusion of the test is there is correlation between the capability level of family therapeutic regimen management and the independence of self care. The correlation coefficients (r) is 0,413. It means that there is correlation between the capability level of family therapeutic regimen management and the independence of self care is positive correlation and medium category. The conclusions of the research is the higher level of ability in doing the family therapeutic regimen management with post stroke will be more capable in self care.en_US
