HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN SANTRI TENTANG PHBS DAN PERAN USTADZ DALAM MENCEGAH PENYAKIT SKABIES DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN PENYAKIT SKABIES (Studi pada Santri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah Kecamatan Silo Kabupaten Jember)

Abstract

Scabies is a skin disease that affects many students at Islamic boarding schools. The same thing also happens at Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School Jember. This study was intended to analyze the relationship between knowledge and the role of ustadz with the scabies prevention behavior of students at Islamic boarding school Al-Falah district of Silo, Jember Regency. This research used quantitative research method and used cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all students at Islamic boarding school Al-Falah, district of Silo, Jember Regency. The number of samples in this study was as many as 88 students. The data obtained were then analyzed using Spearman correlation test with the significance level of 5% (α=0.05). The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of clean and healthy behaviors with the behavior of scabies prevention to students at Islamic boarding school Al-Falah with p value = 0.001, and there was a relationship between the role of ustadz to the behavior of scabies disease prevention among students at Islamic boarding school Al Falah with p-value = 0.047. Based on the results of research, the public health center of Silo and the Islamic boarding school are expected to cooperate in an effort to increase the student knowledge of PHBs and scabies prevention efforts through the dissemination of information by health workers using more various methods and media. In addition, there is a need for cooperation with Local Water Company in order to supply clean water since the Islamic boarding school Al-Falah lacks of clean water.
