    Abstract
    Low Birth Weight (LBW) infants have little chance to survive and when the last possibility of LBW infants died before the age of one year 17 times greater than babies born to normal. Some factors affected the low Apgar score and low birth weight is the status of anaemia and size of upper arm circumference. Apgar score is a test used to assess the state of infant asphyxia. Infants who have low Apgar score have 53 times the odds of suffering from cerebral palpasy than normal babies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Chronic Energy Deficiency and anaemia during pregnancy to low birth weight and Apgar score. This study includes the type of observational analytic study using cross sectional approach. The samples used were all pregnant women with gestational age 36-38 weeks at the health center work Kalisat Jember purposively selected. This study used primary data of interviews and observations to find out size of upper arm circumference, hemoglobin concentration, Birth weight and Apgar score and use secondary data to determine the population of pregnant and her pregnancy. Data analysis in this study used logistic regression test. The results of this study there was no effect of Chronic Energy Deficiency and anaemia to low birth weight (p=0.683, p>0.05 and p=0.199, p>0.05) and no effect of Chronic Energy Deficiency and anemia to Apgar score (p=0.353, p>0.05 and p=0.402, p>0.05). Conclusions in this study is no effect between Chronic Energy Deficiency and anaemia during pregnancy to low birth weight and Apgar score. Recommended for health care keep counseling to respondents who suffered from CED and anaemia.
