PENGARUH KERJA GILIR TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS KERJA PADA TENAGA KERJA PEREMPUAN BAGIAN PEMOTONGAN DI PT.PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA X JELBUK KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
Shift work is a division of work time set by a company in which the length of the
division of work time is different depending on the policy of each company. Shift work
defined by the company has a considerable impact on workers’ health. Therefore, if
not managed well by the company, it can result in the occurrence of health problems
in workers that will eventually affect work productivity. The objective of this research
was to analyze the effect of shift work on work productivity of women workers in the
cutting section of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara X Jelbuk, Jember Regency. This
research was analytical-observational by cross sectional approach. The population
in the research was all female workers who worked in the cutting and the sample size
was 82 respondents. To identify the effect of shift work on work productivity, Anova
test was used that was supported by SPSS version 11.5. Statistical analysis showed
that there was an effect of break on labor productivity (p=0.030) and there was an
effect of work shift on work productivity (p=0.028). Based on the research results, it
was suggested that related departments pay more attention on physical condition of
workers by giving extrafooding, vitamin supplements and conduct a periodic
inspection, provide a schedule of rest and nutritious food for 1400 calories shift III,
change back the labors who worked on shift I, shift II and shift III as well as change
the work shift pattern to be 2-2-2 or 2-2-3.
