    Abstract
Health seeking behavior is an effort taken to obtain treatment to cure suffered diseases. Treatment behavior usually begins with self-medication, and then is continued to medical treatment or traditional treatment. The development of variations of the medical system, especially traditional treatments, provides more references in seeking treatments. In addition, the increasing public knowledge about disease encourages people to make their own treatment either with drugs sold in pharmacies or with traditional medicine. Health science students learn the concept of illness, disease and illness behavior more deeply than non-health science students, so that the level of knowledge about the concept of illness and disease of health science students is better than that of non-health science students. The objective of this research was to analyze the factors that influenced health seeking behavior of students of health science and non-health science faculties of Jember University using analytical method by cross sectional approach. Data collection was by research questionnaires filled out by 344 respondents from health science and non-health science faculties of Jember University. The research results by Multinomial Logistic analysis with α (0.05) showed that the factors that significantly influenced the health seeking behavior was faculty or field of science studied with p value = 0.000. This shows that science learned can affect one's level of knowledge about the concepts of illness, disease and illness behavior, and it can also affect students behaviour
