Research on "Design of Tool Measuring Liquid Milk Fat With Spectrophotometric Method" is a measurement of the levels of the fat contained in every 500ml of liquid milk. The samples which used are milk powder packaging with information 30gr/180ml = 14% a fat content. Hopefully with these tools, measuring liquid milk fat more easily and efficiently so it does not need to perform chemical measurements. By using this method the absorption of light sensor used is LED and photodiode. This sensor detects the intensity of light passing through the milk and then processed by a microcontroller ATMega 8535. The results of measurements of fat content will display on the LCD with units of percentage (%). There is a linear relationship between the absorption of the light with the concentration of the solution. This research uses 4 samples with different fat levels, the sample no.1 = 5.04% = 8.4% sample no.2, no.3 sample = 13.44%, and the sample no.4 = 16.8%. The results of measurements of fat content using a tool is sample no.1 = 6%, sample No. 2 = 9%, = 13% sample no.3 and no.4 sample = 15%. The measurement reach from this tool is 1% - 19% with an average error of 9.75% percent.en_US
