The study was conducted in September 2012 to October 2012 which took place at the Laboratory Structures Civil Engineering Faculty of Engineering, University of Jember. The material used for this study were cement PPC Type 1, sand used is lumajang sand, coarse aggregate used is waste Plastic bags that have a heavy volume of 0.466 g/ cm ³ and used also material added superplasticizer. Specimens using a cylinder with extensive 78.5 cm ², with each treatment amounted to 5 pieces of the specimen. From the test results obtained shattered average compressive strength for comparison 1: 3: 0 = 9.52 MPa with heavy volume = 2122.293 kg / m³; 1: 2.5: 0.5 = 9.79 MPa with heavy volume = 2039, 49 kg / m³, 1: 2: 1 = 11.129 MPa with heavy volume = 1816.561 kg / m³; 1: 1.5: 1.5 = 9.65 MPa with heavy volume = 1713.376 kg / m³ with the use of superplasticizer all proportion by 16.5 ml. Compressive strength the greatest acquired on fourth mixed proportion. The four treatments with the waste of plastic bags as a substitute for coarse aggregate not belong to the category of lightweight concrete because compressive strength and heavy volume not enter to the limits required for forming lightweight concrete. So the concrete in this study can be used to manufacture roof plate.en_US
