PENGARUH COOPERATIVE PLAY TERHADAP REAKSI LANGSUNG SIBLING RIVALRY PADA ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH DI DESA CANGKRING KECAMATAN JENGGAWAH KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
The background of this research is an existence of sibling rivalry’s phenomenon
among preschool siblings that followed by the advent of direct reaction in verbal
or non-verbal aggression. Cooperative play is ones of method that can reduce
conflict among siblings with improving cooperative and to complete mission
together. Cooperative play carried out regularly for eight sessions during two
weeks. The goal of this research was to identify the difference of sibling rivalry’s
direct reaction before and after the granting of intervention in experiment group
and control group. The design of this research was quasy experimental with
pretest and posttest. The respondents of this research were a pair of preschool
siblings which has 3-6 years old’s age range. Sample techniques used in this
research was purposive sampling. Sample of this research was 30 pair of siblings
that devided into two group with 15 pair of siblings in experiment group, and
another in control group. Data was analyzed by Mann Whitney U-Test. Result
shown that there was a significant influence on sibling rivalry’s direct reaction
before and after the granting of cooperative play’s intervention with p value =
0,031. The research suggestion is the application of cooperative play to reduce
sibling rivalry’s reaction among preschoolers.
