AN ANALYSIS ON ROBERT LANGDON’S TRUE PERSONALITY IN DAN BROWN’S THE DA VINCI CODE
Abstract
In the process of writing this thesis, the problem is addressed onto analyzing
Robert Langdon true Personality in Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code. The
analysis uses Henry Alexander Murray’s Pesonology as psychological approach,
which is collecting Robert Langdon manifest and latent needs of psychogenic. An
inductive method is conducted to clarify the objective from general to specific
one, included managing supporting-data those taken from library research and
internet browsing. The goal of this thesis emphasizes on discovering the possibly
of moral message behind Robert Langdon’s true personality. The significance of
this study is giving general reference of discovering a moral message behind main
character’s true personality in literary form, through applying psychogenic of
personology. The end of the discussion is offering back the readers what they
should argue having read the novel and this thesis, since the object of this literary
research is fairly observed by selected theoretical approach.
