PENGARUH RISIKO PEMBIAYAAN, KECUKUPAN MODAL, EFESIENSI OPERASIONAL, DAN FUNGSI INTERMEDIASI TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA PERBANKAN SYARIAH DI INDONESIA

Abstract

The importance of the function and role of Islamic banking in Indonesia, the Islamic banks need to improve its performance in order to create banking with sharia principles of healthy and efficient. Profitability as a reference in measuring the profit to be so important to know whether the company has run its business efficiently. The ratio is important for the bank's profitability is Return On Assets (ROA).This samples using purposive sampling method in BUS that exist and releasing financial statements between 2006 and 2010 in which they are not loss. Data is collected from Bank Indonesia and the BUS website’s. This study aims to determine and examine the effect of the intermediary function of the performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia with financial risk as an intervening variable. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with an alternative method of Partial Least Square (PLS) shows the result that the financing risk has negative influence and significant to profitability Islamic Banks in Indonesia, Capital Adequacy has negative influence and significant to profitability Islamic Banks in Indonesia, Efficient Operations has negative influence and significant to profitability Islamic Banks in Indonesia, function of intermediation has positive influence and not significant to profitability Islamic Banks in Indonesia.
