FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KUALITAS TIDUR YANG BURUK PADA LANSIA DI DESA WONOJATI KECAMATAN JENGGAWAH KABUPATEN JEMBER
Abstract
Sleep is the state of the recovery process for body and brain, and it’s important to
achieve optimal health. Important symptoms of sleep disturbance in the elderly is
poor sleep quality. Factors of poor sleep quality were age, response to illness,
depression level, anxiety level, physical environment, and lifestyle. The research
objective was to identify the factors related to poor sleep quality in elderly at
Wonojati Village Jenggawah Subdistrict Jember Regency. The study design was
observasional analytic with cross sectional approach. The population were 85
people. The samples were 49 people. Calculation of statistical tests by using
ANOVA test with an alpha 0,05 obtained the age factor p value = 0,506. The
results of calculations using the independent t test with an alpha 0,05 obtained
response to illness factor with p value = 0,0005, depression level factor with p
value= 0,0005, anxiety level factor with p value = 0,0005, physical environmental
factor with p value = 0,001, and lifestyle factor with p value = 0,0005. The
research results showed that there was no difference in the average poor sleep
quality based on age. The results also showed that there are differences in the
average poor sleep quality based on the response to illness, depression level,
anxiety level, physical environment, and lifestyle. The recommendation of this
study was the assessment of sleep quality included in KMS of elderly, so the
problem of poor sleep quality in elderly could be detected and treated early.
