dc.description.abstractMen Operative Medical (MOP) is one method of contraception for men in family planning programs. In general, the participation of men towards family planning is still low. However, Situbondo has the highest rank in Indonesia and a MURI award for the most number of MOP participants. The general objective of this study is to analyze the behavioral factors associated with the selection of contraceptive by MOP methods by using cross sectional analytical survey in District Kapongan, Situbondo. Sample size is 79 respondents. Data were analyzed using chi square test and logistic regression test with SPSS 11.5 and α = 0.05. The results showed significant relationship between knowledge (α 0.017), attitude (α 0.043), trust (α 0.000), support of TOGA / TOMA (α 0.002), wife’s support (α 0.037), and support of health workers / KB (α 0.030) and no significant relationship between access to family planning services (α 0245) with the selection of contraceptive by MOP methods. The most dominant factor associated with the selection of contraceptive by MOP methods on Thoughts and feeling factor is the factors of trust and Personal Reference factor is the support of TOGA / TOMA.en_US
