dc.description.abstract | Polio is one of the PD3I diseases that 100% disability and donate 5% to 10% of
deaths. The objective of this research was to describe Acute Flaccid Paralysis
surveillance of the surveillance performance indicators in Jember in the period of
2005 – 2009 based on the people, time and place, based on the diagnosis, based on
the immunization status and level of success.The results AFP patients in Jember in
period of 2005 – 2009, 95,10% aged 1-3 years and 62,38 % of male sex. Found many
cases of AFP in 2007and most found in Ajung and Sumbersari. Non-polio AFP rate
in people aged ≤ 14 years categorized both. Report Timeliness categorized poorly.
Completeness of reporting categorized both. AFP cases are successfully tracked ≤ 48
hours categorized both, adequate specimens categorized poorly, re-inspection visit
60 days after paralysis categorized both, the specimen is received in the laboratory in
good condition in categorized both. Laboratory specimens received within 3 days or
less since delivery categorized both and Laboratory results must be received within
