ANALISIS SISTEM TANGGAP DARURAT TERHADAP KEJADIAN KEBAKARAN TAHUN 2007-2010 DI PABRIK II PT. PETROKIMIA GRESIK

Abstract

In industry, there are some conditions where fire may happen because most industries that are based on processing have all elements from fire triangle in the work place. Therefore, it is necessary to have emergency response system that becomes a dynamical, ongoing, and integrated process to increase the quality of steps related to the prevention and the handling of emergency disaster. Factory II PT. Petrokimia Gresik is a company that has higher risk of fire compared to Factory I and Factory III; it also has higher fire case during 2007-2012. Thus, it is important to have an implementation of emergency response system in the term of fire in order to prevent more victims and more loss. This type of research was descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The number of informants in this research was seven informants, who were taken using purposive sampling. The data collection method used was in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. Then, the data reached were analyzed and its validity was examined using triangulation technique. The result of the research shows that in PT. Petrokimia Gresik, especially in Factory II, there have been commitment, policy and elements in the emergency response system related to fire. However, there is still lack that needs to be improved. Based on that result, it is hoped that the company has a detail action to identify risks, add the number of personal for checkup of the facilities, improve the effort to maintain the facilities, make a fire report completely based on form, investigate all fire case, formulate the investigation procedure and the report of fire or emergency condition, improve or change the equipments that are not in good condition or broken.
