KEPUTUSAN BIDAN UNTUK MERUJUK KE RUMAH SAKIT (Studi Kasus Kematian Ibu Di Puskesmas Kaliwates Kabupaten Jember 2011)
Abstract
Maternal mortality indicators become important in determining the degree of
public health and the level of community welfare. The maternal mortality rate in the
district of jember 2009-2011 show an increase of years. The increase was expected
because of delays decided to refer by a midwife. The purpose of this research is to
describe the decision as midwives to refer to the Hospital. This was a retrospective
study using qualitative method and phenomenological approach The main informants
in this study were midwives who experience maternal death during in their works, the
additional informants in this study were famillies who experience maternal death and
key informant is a midwife coordinator. Data were collected by conducting in-depth
interview and analyzed using qualitative technique. Result of this study showed that
the input at the time of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum is the number of
midwives who are still lacking, infrastructure is incomplete, and the midwives still
not invite husband and families to be a blood donors. The process at the time of
pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum is still be found activities conferring family
and the selection of the referral hospitals upon of demand family. It was suggested
for district health office to do training to midwife about the pattern of decision
making in the event of emergencies in pregnant women, childbirth, and postpartum
and Community Health Center to organize community participation via village
alertness.
