EVALUASI PENERAPAN SISTEM MANAJEMEN KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA (SMK3) TERHADAP PERILAKU PEMAKAIAN ALAT PELINDUNG DIRI (APD) (Studi di Depo Lokomotif PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember)

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety Management System is an integral part of the labor protection system. Risks in the work environment can be reduced by working according to the procedures that have been applied, such as using PPE. But the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior limitations of employees causing them to be unaware of the risks in not using PPE. This is also happened in Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember which handles maintenance and repair of locomotives in which require them to use PPE in a good manner in the execution of their work. However, the use of PPE meets many obstacles; one of them comes from the usage behavior of PPE by the employees. The purpose of this study is to determine evaluation the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management System and behavioral determinants of predisposing factors (age, educational level, years of service, knowledge, attitudes), enabling factor (the socialization of PPE), and reinforcing factors (supervisor support) in the usage behaviors of PPE in the Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember. This is a descriptive analysis study which analyzes the Implementation effect of Occupational Health and Safety Management System and behavioral determinants of predisposing factors (age, educational level, years of service, knowledge, attitudes), enabling factor (the socialization of PPE), and reinforcing factors (supervisor support) toward the usage behaviors of PPE in the Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember. The population of study is around 44 people consisting of 32 employees at the maintenance and repair in Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember and 12 managers from all sections in PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember. This study uses total sampling techniques. The data of study is obtained from primary and secondary data. Furthermore, the data is analyzed by using Kruskal Wallis statistical test. Results from this study indicate that the outlook of the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management System on the usage behavior of PPE in the Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember is good. And there is an influence of predisposing factors, employee characteristics (age, years of service), knowledge and attitudes of employees, enabling factor which is the socialization of PPE, reinforcing factors which is the support of superiors toward the usage behavior of PPE in the Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember. and no influence of predisposing factors, namely the education of employees on the usage behavior of PPE in the Depo Lokomotif of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) Daop IX Jember. Suggestions from the research results that can be given is to increase the awareness of the employees of PT. Kereta Api (Persero) IX Daop Jember, make documentation socialization of PPE, make rules regarding the usage of PPE.
